I am a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco in Dr. Adam Ferguson's lab. My current affiliations include UCSF Brain and Spinal Injury Center (BASIC) and Core Center for Patient-centric, Mechanistic Phenotyping in Chronic Low Back Pain (UCSF REACH). This is my second postdoc training with the primary focus on acquiring skills in data science, advanced statistical analytics and machine learning. Previously, I conducted research in basic and clinical spinal cord injury. I have specific interests in pain neurobiology, maladaptive plasticity, and neuromodulation (e.g. electrical spinal cord stimulation) as a form of rehabilitation post-CNS trauma. I am fortunate to do what I love but if I had to choose an alternative career, I would become a professional dancer. I love music, theater, and literature, particularly Russian classics.
